We use standard beta biothane on all our biothane products. Biothane is an "all weather leather" that does not absorb water, odors and is pliable and comfortable for both handler and canine.
All colored finishes are prone to chipping and fading as time passes. Stainless steel retains its original appearance, while brass may develop oxidation it can be restored effectively using appropriate cleaning products.
Please note all items have been thoroughly tested in a multitude of scenarios and we pride ourselves on the quality of items we offer, with that in mind all items are back by a lifetime warranty. That warranty includes ANY product quality issue, it does NOT cover any misuse by handler(dog chewing, etc). Please be sure to check your gear for wear and tear and replace when necessary.
